While the seasons don’t technically change for another month or so, everyone knows Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer. It’s been a long time coming, and I think every Chicagoan can agree that we’re long overdue for some sunshine and barbecue. Our dogs included!

If you’re hosting or going to a Memorial Day celebration this coming weekend, you’re probably busy figuring out your menu and shopping for all the essentials. In the midst of your party planning, don’t forget about the four-legged partygoers who will be in attendance! Making a special Memorial Day treat for your pups will not only help them feel included, they’ll also be less likely to hang around the grill waiting for something tasty to hit the floor.

Before you run to the grocery store to pick up hamburgers and hotdogs for the festivities, we encourage you to browse through our list of Memorial Day dog treat recipes. Your pup will thank you!
