5 Pumpkin Dog Treat Recipes
Even though summer isn’t technically over for another week, it’s already starting to feel like fall in Chicago. Looks like it’s time to bust out the cozy sweaters and fuzzy blankets! Even though this summer was relatively mild, the transition into fall isn’t any less thrilling. And, if our pups could talk, I think they’d agree. Crisp temperatures and crunchy leaves make long walks and extended trips to the dog park all the more enjoyable. Although we only experience this blissful limbo between summer and winter for a couple of months, we Chicagoans certainly make the most of it.
Speaking of the fall season, now is the prime time to consume a year’s worth of pumpkin-flavored food and drink all within a few weeks. I can’t say I blame you. I’m also a sucker for pumpkin lattes, pumpkin bread, and just about anything else you can make from nature’s tastiest autumn bounty. As you may know, humans aren’t the only ones who go crazy for the orange stuff this time of year. Pumpkin is also extremely appealing to our four-legged friends! Luckily, it’s also really healthy.
